Thank you so much for giving your time to support Toys ’n’ Tucker this Christmas. Every volunteer plays a meaningful part in helping us share dignity, joy and hope with families in our community — and we’re so grateful you’re here.

Gifting Day Volunteer
Get ready to help create a warm, welcoming space where families choose toys and receive their Christmas hampers.

Warehouse Volunteer
At our Minchinbury Warehouse, you'll help sort and pack thousands of food and toy hampers that bring hope to families in need.

Driver Buddy
You'll be joining one of our Anglicare drivers to collect donations from schools, churches, councils, and offices.

FAQS
Q: What do I need to wear and bring with me?
- Wear: Comfortable clothing and closed-in shoes (safety first!)
- Bring: A refillable water bottle and your own lunch (lunch is provided at Gifting Day events)
- We’ll provide: Morning/afternoon tea and a safety/event briefing on arrival
- High-vis vests: Provided for warehouse and some gifting/event roles
Q: How long are the volunteer shifts?
- Warehouse and Driver Buddy roles are full-day shifts, typically starting around 8 or 9am.
- Gifting Day shifts will depend on the location and event schedule. Please register your interest and our volunteer coordinator can provide more information about the specific event.
Q: Where are the volunteer locations?
- Anglicare Food & Goods Warehouse: 2/30 Sterling Rd, Minchinbury NSW 2770
- Gifting Days: Held at various sites across Sydney and the Illawarra
- Driver Buddy shifts: Depart from Minchinbury Warehouse and follow scheduled pickup routes
Q: Can I volunteer with a group?
Yes! We welcome workplace teams, community groups, friends or families to volunteer together. Let us know in your registration.
Q: Do I need to be physically fit?
- Some roles involve lifting and standing for longer periods (like Warehouse and Driver Buddy).
- Let us know if you have any accessibility needs—we’ll do our best to accommodate.
